While visiting Metamora Indiana, the state's only functioning canal town, I came across this lovely shop. Sadly the proprietor had passed on just the day before my visit. She lived joyfully until the age of 92 years old and in talking to her fellow proprietors in surrounding businesses spoke lovely things about her and how she will be missed. I decided to capture her memory in painting her lovely shop. In memory of Bonnie Middlesworth ....
Elaine has had a passion for painting since she was a young girl. She has worked in corporate America for nearly 30 years and now finds herself semi-retired and reviving the passion by exploring her talents with watercolors. Elaine had previously sketched, charcoaled, painted with pastels & acrylics and now stepping into the lovely feel of watercolor painting. Enjoying life now in Northern KY, but born & raised just outside NYC, she often takes long drives with her camera photographing landscapes and unusual items for subjects.
